The Center for Healthcare Research & Transformation (CHRT) is an independent, impact 501(c)3 organization. Each day, CHRT’s experts produce work that advances our mission: to transform research and evidence into actionable policy and program approaches to advance health care delivery, the health of the population, and access to care.
We help decision makers to help improve health care access and quality by:
- Producing publicly-available, non-partisan issue briefs on a wide range of topics;
- Conducting annual primary survey research to explore key health issues related to consumers, physicians and hospitals;
- Training health services researchers to increase the impact of research on practice and policy and elevating policy makers’ knowledge to enable more effective, evidence-based health policy decisions through CHRT’s unique policy fellowship;
- Performing systematic analyses of research and evidence;
- Providing impartial, clinically-informed data and policy analyses to enable data-driven decisions;
- Running state and community level demonstration projects in partnership with collaborative organizations to test and disseminate approaches for improving the cost effectiveness, quality and accessibility of health care;
- Performing program evaluations; and
- Helping health services researchers become more effective at conducting and communicating policy relevant, timely research.
