Sankar Majeti is a student intern at CHRT and is currently an MPH candidate at the University of Michigan-Flint. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Oakland University. Currently he is researching the implementation of a Community Health Worker program to improve statewide health outcomes, particularly for underserved populations. This research will be used to help inform policy decisions regarding both the State Innovation Model (SIM) and the Michigan Primary Care Association’s Linkages Project. Sankar is also conducting research on the issue of underinsured populations and initiatives to improve their access to care.
